Will Siobhan Go Home Next?

As the Ryan Seacrest said many times tonight, we now have a competition. The top six of American Idol Season 9 gave it their all tonight singing Shania Twain songs. It is going to be tough for America to vote off any one of these talented individuals. Results night will be something to behold without a doubt. Here is a brief summary of what the contestants crooned this week.

Lee Dewyze

Lee sang "Still the One" and rocked it! In the mentoring phase of the show, Shania had advised him to begin with just the piano and although he appeared a bit hesitant, it worked. Lee hit it dead on in this reviewer's opinion, though it must be said that he has been one of my favorites from day one. Randy Jackson commented that the performance was "pretty good", are you kidding Randy?! I am sensing a little Bryan Adams vibe going on!

Big Mike

It only hurts when I breathe was the song choice for big Michael Lynch, and it was another solid performance from the big guy! Ellen thought he sounded a bit like Luther Vandross, and now that she mentions it, yeah he does. It is safe to say Mike is going places regardless of the outcome of this competition.

Casey James

Casey is beautiful as has been said many times and throughout most of the competition he has come across as a good performer, tonight however he hit a new high. You may have been asking yourself where has this guy been hiding! Fantastic, when Casey connects and allows emotion to show it is unbelievable. The judges agree that Casey has finally come alive in the competition and though none of them drew parallels he reminded me of a more country Chad Kroeger, just saying.

CrystalBowersox

Aww the wonderful Crystal Bowersox or Mamma Sox as everyone has dubbed her. Up until this performance, she has really blown it out of the park but her rendition of "No One Has to Know" was just okay. She always does well, but this performance was just a bit weird if I am being honest. (Okay, I am not Simon, but it is true) Still love Crystal and she should make the top three at least.

Aaron Kelley

If any contestant surprised it was Aaron Kelley, early in the competition I always thought he would do well with the country genre and apparently, it is true! No question about it this was his best performance and maybe enough to keep him from being eliminated tonight. His comments that the song was dedicated to his mother did not hurt either.

Siobhan Magnus

"Any Man of Mine'' never had such a rocky grungy feel to it as it did when Siobhan sang it. For the most part the song was good; the changes she made created a more current vibe to the song. The end though, you either loved, hated or were confused by it. The screaming transition was just weird, it rather worked but you just were not quite sure what had happened. The final high pitch version of the chorus line was too much in my opinion and may send her home tonight. We will soon see! The results for American Idol Season 9, will take the contestants from 6 to 5, who will be the next to go home?
