Will Smith

Will Smith (born Willard Christopher Smith, Jr. on September 25, 1968) is a very popular actor today. Some people may wonder why this is but it simply has to do with how amazingly well he is able to present himself while he is in front of the camera. He also has a way of choosing scripts that fit his persona quite well. However, this wasn't always the case.

In 1990 Will Smith almost had to declare bankruptcy. He was fortunate enough to be rescued from this demise though. This rescue came in the form of a television show by the name of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which was a comedy that was built all around him. It featured him as a kid from the poor side of town whose mother sent him off to live with his rich uncle because he started to get into trouble. This show lasted for 6 seasons.

Since 1990 Will Smith has gone on to be in numerous movies. They include Men in Black, Men in Black 2, Hancock, 7 Pounds, Enemy Of The State, Hitch, Legend, Independence Day, Six Degrees Of Separation, Bad Boys, The Pursuit Of Happyness and I, Robot.

For his roles in movies like these Will Smith makes $20 million-per-role. However, audiences love to see him in roles, both big and small.

Will Smith is also a rapper. In fact, this is originally how his career got started: At the age of 16 he formed the group DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Some of his songs include Getting Jiggy With It, Just The 2 Of Us, Parents Just Don't Understand and Miami.

While Will Smith has had a very successful career, he hasn't had such a successful personal life. He has been married twice. Smith also has 3 children: Willard Smith III, Jaden Christopher Syre Smith and Willow Smith. Currently he is married to Jada Pinkett who he met when she auditioned for a role on his television show. He is continuing to pursue his work as an actor, rapper, film producer, record producer and television producer.
