Will the Ultimate Tea Diet Work for Me?

Lori Godin
As a tea drinker, I was excited to hear about the prospects of the ultimate tea diet. Apparently, with eating healthy, and drinking lots of tea, whether it be hot, iced, loose, or in a bag I could lose weight, and decrease my cravings for sweets. I drink tea already, could this be too good to be true? Dr. Ukra is the creator of the tea diet and outlines the diet for us in his book. The diet focuses on lower fat, lower carbohydrates and higher fiber within our diet. There is a fourteen day meal plan, and there are personal stories included in the book. After reading this, I am going to go out and get the book - I am pretty excited about the weight loss prospects in tea.

From the lemon detox diet, to weight watcher's to the cabbage soup diet I have tried them all. As with all diet, you lose for a little period of time, than it slowly creeps back, as weight tends to do with all crash diets.

Now, I am on track with proper exercise, and high fiber, a low fat dieting plan. So far, this has worked for me, and I have even had a lowered amount of sweet cravings. When I do get these cravings it is hard to choose things like natural sweets like raspberries and raisins over things like chocolate bars and ice cream. Once in a while I allow myself to have a piece of dark chocolate and this has become very satisfying.

With the lemon detox diet, I was able to lose twenty pounds and I was inspired by how great beyonce looked after the diet. I am tempted to go back to the diet, but it was one of the worst three week periods in my life. I go to a lot of family dinners, a lot of restaurants, and so many of my outings are reliant and revolved around food. By the end of it, I just wanted to eat because I was tired of explain the diet, and hearing the bad aspects of crash diets from my entire family and circle of friends. It worked though; I lost two pants sizes, and was stoked for summer.

Now, it's the middle of June, and all the weight is back. I tell myself that I am going to begin again on the 15th, this time, I have no choice, and it's almost crunch time. I am literally going to be forced into a bathing suit in less than a month and a tan isn't going to hide all of this.

So, today I am going to run to the local book store and buy this diet book about the ultimate tea. This is not a diet that promotes something unhealthy like fasting for twenty one days, but incorporates healthy concepts into a beverage that I already consume! This might be the perfect idea, I am going to try the two week meal plan, and see how it goes. I benefit from structure, and hope that it goes well!
