The Oprah Winfrey Show is coming to an end. After years and years of interviewing guests and giving away prizes, Oprah will finally say goodbye to her talk show. It could be one of the most intriguing shows Oprah has ever been a part of-and that says a lot considering some of the incredibly rich shows she has hosted over the years. Will you watch the final Oprah Winfrey Show?

I think it's going to be very interesting to see how many people tune in to watch the Oprah Farewell show. Oprah isn't really going anywhere-the show is just coming to a close. Fans of the show would probably continue to watch for the next 20 years if Oprah chose to stick around. It's not like the show has actually run its course. Oprah just wants to do some other things with her life instead of being stuck to the daily talk show grind.

25 years. That's how long Oprah has been devoting her time and life to the OWS. That's why viewers will most likely tape or tune in to see what happens on the finale or farewell. It promises to be a ratings winner. That just happens to be symbolic of what the daytime talk show queen has achieved over the years. There will probably never be another Oprah. It would take somebody amazing to fill the void that is about to be left when Oprah steps away.

I can barely remember as a kid watching Oprah on the local television news in Nashville, Tennessee. How her career has evolved is simply amazing. She has set the standard for daytime talk shows that will probably never be met.
There are some options out there right now including "Ellen." My guess is that not many shows, if any, will rival what Oprah has accomplished.

I think it's important to know that Oprah Winfrey fans aren't usually casual watchers. They are religious followers of her program. For that reason, I think millions of people will tune in to watch the Oprah Winfrey farewell or final show. Those who can't watch it will most likely hit the DVR. Fans who did neither will scramble to the internet to find the finale the day after the farewell airs. That's because it's the end of an incredibly huge era in television.

Oprah has provided so many heartfelt moments throughout that years that it's impossible to look back at just a few. The hour she has to talk will simply not be enough to capture the greatest moments on the show. If that's the task, Oprah has a huge undertaking in saying everything that she needs to say in her farewell. The fortunate thing for viewers of the show is that Oprah has already said those things through years of compelling television. There will never be another queen. Talk show hosts, women and men, will always be compared to Oprah. People probably don't even remember when Phil Donahue dominated daytime talk. Oprah took the bar and raised it to a level that just may be unattainable for those who follow.

There will be some who are jealous of her wealth or popularity. It might be in excess, but Oprah has earned every penny of that by being one of the most consistent figures television has ever known. She's outlasted Johnny Carson. She has outdueled Dr. Phil. She'll go down as the most famous talk show host ever. Her place is set in the history of television on a Hall of Fame shelf reserved for only a few. She'll undoubtedly say thank you in her farewell. Millions will cling to the television to watch. But the millions will be the ones saying thank you, no doubt.
