Does America want a Mama Obama who will make friends with all of the bullies in the schoolyard so we are finally popular with the cool socialist-terrorist kids? That would be a change. Does America want a Mama Obama who will pick the better (cramped) cars for us to drive so we can be environmentally friendly and finally popular with the cool euro-green kids? That would be a change. And since we are suppose to always listen to our Mamas, Obama will see to it America is no longer the obese slobs we've become. Mama Obama will limit our food portions for our own good so we can regain our girlish figures and fit in the those smaller cars and finally be popular with the cool Hollywood kids who already are friends with the euro-green and socialist-terrorist kids. Win-win with that change-change! Right?
But this gets even better. Mama Obama will turn down or up our thermostats, shoot, Mama will go ahead and just turn off our thermostats so that we will feel less comfortable in our defaulted-mortgaged homes. Besides, our leaner bodies will take the suppressive heat brought on by Bush's global warming and in the off chance it ever gets cold again, our model-thin bodies will look awesome in big bulky sweaters, no furs, please. We must realize, comfort is an over-rated, antiquated notion that only speaks to the less progressive of our good natures. We comrades, I mean, Americans have been too comfortable for too long. Personal body temperature regulation is a necessary change for the future. With that we won't just be cool or even hot; we'll be loved by the entire world. Can we handle that much change or love for that matter? Change is what Mama wants and change is what Mama will get. But where will that get America?
Under an Obama presidency America will be mothered to death by a bi-polar far left agenda leaving us coddled by health care and throttled by taxes. We'll be driven to drive small while chauffeured to socialist parties where the guest list will read like a who's who of the United Nations. Speaking of which, thanks to Obama, America will confess to our mean ways and our wild racist character along with the untold human rights abuses our country is perpetually guilty of. We will do penance and we will like it. But Mama Obama will love us in the end, once we've changed our ways and checked our free will at the door. We will follow the program that our much smarter new friends have mapped out for the "clingers" and "typicals" that we are. We will be happy "clingers" and "typicals" for the first time in our adult lives. Yes, change will be good.
Okay, now wake up from the nightmare and let's all get a grip. In a year when a jack ass, I mean an actual animal, could beat the Republicans for the presidency due to their pathetic leadership or lack thereof during the Bush years, only the far left could be detached enough from reality to put up the one and only candidate that can be beaten by a Republican, Barack Obama. Did I say, by a Republican? Well, here's the other side of that coin. Due only to the embarrassing performance of Republicans as leaders over the last term and a half could a candidate the likes of John McCain rise up through the muck of conservative confusion and seize the nomination of the GOP.
Is McCain a real Republican? Sort of. Is that a bad thing for Republicans? Sort of. Or is it? Obviously all of the "real Republicans" who were strutting and legislating in the last election cycle weren't "real conservatives" or they'd still be in the game. Those Republicans did not do their job and hence lost it. Good riddance. To me, a real conservative states his or her stances and then sticks to them, fights for them, sees things through to the end with morals and honor being their guiding standards. Many Republicans became too cocky and too lazy and as the wise old sage Jeremiah Wright says, "the chickens came home to roost."
I don't agree with many of McCain's stances but if there is one thing I know, McCain will stick to his stances, fight for them and see them through. Morals and honor are a given for him. Despite McCain's less than perfect Republican status, in this circumstance that status is a good thing. Of course, if Republicans prove to have more hubris than the far left, re-read the first four paragraphs of this article and get use to it.
Will McCain beat Obama? If Republicans and Independents focus on what each candidate is really saying and doing, McCain will emerge victorious. Sometimes focusing on Obama's words is hard to do. He's so photogenic that he could say, "Americans are fat" and we'd believe him. Wait, we are fat, but you know what I mean. He justifies his desired Presidential interaction with Ahmadinejad with the fact that JFK met with Khrushchev insinuating that meeting played a part in averting the Cuban Missile Crisis. Either Obama's ivy league education failed him in his grasp of history or he's hoping most Americans don't know or are too fat (we are) and lazy to look all of this up and realize JFK met with Khrushchev a full 15 months prior to the Cuban Missile Crisis. If anything, that meeting with its lack of conditions led Khrushchev to pull what he did in Cuba. It certainly did nothing to steer him away from such acts.
The fact that Obama seems almost gleeful to personally meet with the likes of Ahmadinejad or Chavez or Raul Castro is a real glimpse into Obama's mind. He'll have a sit down with these thugs ala Jimmy Carter and with a wink and a smile, win them over to his way of thinking but avoids certain American news arenas ducking questions the American people want posed. Does he feel more comfortable amongst foreign dictators and terrorists than his typical white clinging constituents?
Still McCain will have to do more than show up and look sensible. McCain too must , unlike Bush, answer the tough questions and communicate what he intends to do and why. McCain will be painted as a third term of Bush but even the dyed in the wool left winger knows deep down that is a laughable smear soon to fall flat. McCain's age is a target but then again, so is Obama's. Feisty trumps juicy every time. So which will it be America? Mama Obama or the McCain Train? We'll know in November unless, of course, Hill is able to throw Mama from the Train and turn McCain into the Silver Streak. Talk about a train wreck!
