Despite his friendship with the late Princess Diana, Elton John does not believe he'll be invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding in April, while Sarah Ferguson who was recently embroiled in a royal debacle regarding her ex Prince Andrew will be.

Elton John, who with partner David Furnish just became a parent to a baby boy, spoke with ITN about the wedding, and said that he really doesn't know Princes William and Harry.

"I don't really know the boys at all," Elton said.

The singer continued, "They're tremendous boys, but I don't know them, it would be presumptuous of me to even talk about them. They are great boys, their mum would be very proud of them, but I don't know them so I'm not invited to the wedding, I would not expect to be invited to the wedding."

On the other hand, Sarah Ferguson who at one point was very close to Prince William's mother but later estranged from her, is going to receive a royal invite to the wedding of the century.

According to a report by The Daily Mail, Sarah will be at the wedding because William is insisting that she be there.

Apparently Princes William and Harry have a close relationship with their cousins, Beatrice and Eugenie (Sarah and ex Andrew's girls), thus, the invite for Sarah will be extended.

Their invites are really antagonizing quite a few people they should maintaining close ties with or I would think they would want to. But who am I to know who these people would want to keep ties with? I am just an American 'commoner' and they don't consider too many of us as important anyway!
