William Shatner Lashes at George Takei, J.J. Abrams on Internet

William Shatner has had a lot to enjoy over the years, with starring roles in commercials, Emmy nominations for Boston Legal and massive fame for years. But Shatner still finds things to be annoyed at latel. The 77-year-old legend has found a lot of time to get out some angry feelings on Internet videos. First Shatner laid into J.J. Abrams for not giving him a cameo in the new Star Trek reboot, and now Shatner is upset at George Takei for not being invited to his recent gay wedding.

Shatner's latest Internet rant was posted on Wednesday, as he spoke about not being invited to Takei's wedding last month to his partner Brad Altman. Shatner accused Takei of holding a grudge against him that prevented him from inviting Shatner.

Shatner went so far as to say Takei had "a sickness" and "a psychosis" over him. But Takei shot back by saying that Shatner was invited, yet did not attend. Fellow Star Trek stars Nichelle Nichols and Walter Koenig were able to attend the September 15 wedding.

Takei also sent a message to Shatner that he hopes for his vote against Proposition 8, which would overturn California's legalization of gay marriage if it is approved on Election Day.

But Shatner seems to be busy with finishing out Boston Legal's final season and in posting his Internet complaints. Shatner had previously made director J.J. Abrams a target in a video rant, as he complained that Abrams never asked him to appear in his new Star Trek remake. Fellow Star Trek icon Leonard Nimoy will have a role in the new film instead.

Abrams and Shatner have each had separate comments on the issue for months, though they had not spoken to each other. Abrams has said he couldn't think of a way to bring Kirk back after his death in Star Trek: Generations. Shatner finally said in his recent video that he wouldn't have done it even if asked.

However, although Abrams and Shatner had their exchanges and misunderstandings, Shatner did not go so far to criticize Abrams as he did to Takei. But feuds between Star Trek actors are nothing new, as rumors and stories about the casts' relationships have been told for decades.

Shatner himself came out with an autobiography this summer, Up Until Now, which included his behind-the-scenes troubles with the cast, including Leonard Nimoy.
