Willow Wisp of the Mind: A Poem

Scott Bauer
The shadowed glow

Willow wisp of the mind

Teasingly near

Speedily removed

Out of hand's way

Reality continues

Webs of memory spin

Insanity we fear

For we try to comprehend

In this trap our fears lay

Blinders go up

Shading us from truth

But the occasional seeking seer

Can clear our entombed minds

Blissful it is, we plead to stay

As they come in, as always

And force us to go away
