Wilmington, North Carolina, Resident Named Top 10 Finalist J. Jill T-Shirt Contest

J. Jill boutique, a leading retailer of women's clothing and accessories, is holding its yearly T-shirt design contest once again. This year, Wilmington resident Kimberly Bardill entered the J. Jill's "Nature of Compassion" contest and has been told she is one of the top ten finalists.

Kimberly Bardill loves drawing and was urged to enter the contest by her father, who shops for her at J. Jill.

Bardill gets her inspirations from nature and the outdoors, so this contest was perfect for her. Within a few weeks of sketching she came up with a bird perched on a branch as her t-shirt design. The design features warm shades of red and yellow as well as a light blue/gray. The bird in the left bottom corner is blue and yellow and, like stated earlier, is standing on a small green branch. The design also features falling leaves artistically embedded into the colors.

Everyone can log onto www.jjill.com and vote for Kimberly's sketch. Once the voting is closed on July 31. J. Jill will announce the winner and make a limited edition t-shirt featuring the winning artist's design.

If she wins, Bardill will get to take a female friend with her to a 4-day abstract painting course in California called the Artista Creative Safari. She will also receive a $1,000 shopping spree at J.Jill.

The winning t-shirt will be sold for $24.50 during their 2007 Holiday Collection. J. Jill will donate 100 percent of the profits to its J. Jill Compassion Fund which supports community-based organizations in helping poor and homeless women to get back up on their feet.

The other nine contestants who did not win will each receive a $500 gift card to J.Jill. Some of their designs feature flowers, a beach scene, butterflies, and trees.

Log onto J. Jill's website to view all ten of the contestants' works and vote for your favorite one, OR you can cast your vote at a J.Jill retail store. If you go online, you will click on the contest link called "Nature of Compassion" at the bottom of the page. Vote for Kimberly Bardill, whose t-shirt design is #8 on site! The winner will be notified November 1^st! Each person can vote once per day, and you'll receive an e-mail when the winner is named.
