I loved Elija Wood in the Lord of The Rings. Unless you have lived under a rock then you know that the movies made him a super star. So why he would settle for something that hassuch terrible writing, only his agent knows for sure.
In His latest role on the half hour FX comedy series, Wilfred,Wood playsRyan, a down on his luck lawyer who decides one night to try and kill himself. After a sleepless night following a failed scuicide attempt, his new neighbor asked him dogsit for her. Problem, to Wood the dog appears to walk upright, smokes and talks. This is the only part of the movie that is the least bit funny.
This is not Big Bang Theory. These writers apparently do not know how to make jokes that don't involve the dog hu mping everything. I am tv addict and suprisingly, this is one show that I want be watching. Thankfully, we will see Wood again as Frodo. In October he heads to New Zealand to film his role in the pre-equal to the Lord of the Rings, called the Hobbit. If you can't wait that long, then you can watch FX comedy on Thursday nights at ten or on Hulu.
