Wilshire Valley Subdivision Real Estate and Community Slide Show
A Family Neighborhood to Consider If You Are Moving to St. Charles, Missouri
The main entrance to the subdivision is located at the North end of the community off McClay Road. McClay road provides safer access to most subdivisions just off the main road, and runs parallel to Highway 94. There is also a side entrance to the community on the East side from Hackman road. Non-residents typically use the East entrance as a way to access Schaeffer Park, which is located in the Southern most part of the community off Lamm Parkway.
The Community is located in the Francis Howell School District and the High School is just a few blocks from the entrance on Hackman Road, so new drivers won't have far to go to get to class. Wilshire Valley is also conveniently accessible to the rest of St. Charles and the Highways that lead out of St. Charles to St. Louis County. From some homes in the neighborhood, you can actually see Highway 94 at Heritage Crossing. The Page Extension (364) intersects Hwy 94 just around the corner from the east entrance and you can see the Highway from the park.
The park is well maintained and offers a lengthy walking trail, a covered picnic area and a full size playground for children of all ages. It closes at dusk and offers a great view of the skyline to watch the sunset just before walking home. After sunset, the community is peaceful and quiet with the exception of a few children still playing basketball on the cul-de-sacs in the summer.
Grocery stores and gas stations are all nearby. The Wapelhorst Park and Aquatic Facility are within 5 miles of the community. It is a great place for kids to splash and play in the summer with 2 huge water slides, a regular pool, and a baby pool. The park also has a huge playground, a lake, and tennis courts.
Access to Highway 70 is also not too far out of the way and about 15 minutes to the Mid Rivers Mall. A Wal-Mart Super Center is about five minutes west on Highway 94, and Shop & Save is just across Highway 94 at Harvester. There are several banks to choose from in the area, a Good Will store and plenty of fast food locations. SEE SLIDE SHOW OF COMMUNITY AND AREA
