Wilson, Oklahoma Hobbyist Turns Passion into Thriving Business
Red Line Auto Sports Buys, Restores, and Sells Classic Muscle Cars

United States of America
In 1982, Fred began acquiring original muscle cars and restoring them as a hobby. In 1993, Fred Murfin and David Wall formed Red Line Auto Sports in Lone Grove, Oklahoma. Their first project was a Corvette. During the next eight years, they restored and sold over 500 classic muscle cars. In 2001, David left the business. Fred and wife, Kim, made the plunge into buying, restoring, and selling vintage American sports cars a full-time venture at their current location on Hwy 70, approximately three miles east of Wilson, Oklahoma.
Fred's restorations have been featured in Corvette Fever, Car & Driver, Hot Rod, Muscle Car Enthusiast, Pontiac Enthusiast, and others. Their website, www.RedLineMuscleCars.com displays inventory, lists swap meet and car show schedules, finance options, and recently sold cars. Certain to be a hit for childrens' birthdays and Christmas, their Red Line Retro lineup starting at $229 includes peddle fire trucks, police cars, taxis, and my personal favorite, a Pretty in Pink sedan.
Classic cars in inventory includes several Ford Mustangs, Chevy Camaros, Pontiac Trans Ams and GTOs. On this day, Red Line Auto Sports was shipping a red 1966 Ford Mustang convertible in an enclosed tractor trailer to Georgia. In their shop, a black 1978 Pontiac Trans Am was being prepared to ship to North Carolina. As I drove away, a salesman was visiting with an apparent father-son team I suspected were beginning a shopping adventure for their own restoration project. It made me feel good to see Fred and Kim's passion for muscle cars was shared by local enthusiasts, as well.
