Win $50.00 With the Radiant God Monthly Bible Reading Contest
Win $50.00 For Reading Your Bible and Discussing It
The contest works by encouraging comments and discussions regarding the passages read. Those who post the most amounts of comments, engaging in discussion regarding the passages will win the monthly $50.00. I am considering other contests, sweepstakes, and giveaways as well! So, you'll want to join my mailing list and make sure that you receive notice. I'll also notify the winner through my newsletter as well.
I have been through a lot in the past several years with my walk in Christ. I have been led astray in many areas, with subtle teachings that come in and subvert the work of God. I detest the thought that there is something inherently evil about reading the Bible and discussing your opinions- I also detest the thought that Christians are supposed to sit back and listen to everything the man (or woman) in the pulpit tells them as fact. I am hoping that along with me, others will commit to a time of daily reading, study, and discussion. Because I truly believe that the Bible is meant to be discussed, shared, and delved into. Not spoon-fed to us by those who believe they have a closer walk and inside track with God. No, that is not what I am in to, and if you are, my prayer is that you will soon come out of it.
Reading the Bible for ourselves is the key to understanding God's Word. Sharing our views, what we receive from our reading time, and developing a sense of community with one another is my goal through this contest. I pray that I will be blessed to sponsor these contests indefinitely- it is very important to me and dear to my heart. I would love to read the Bible with you and have you share your views on my blog.
I am using the One Year Bible plan, but when you read your day's reading you can choose to read a different version. I prefer the New King James, or the King James Version, especially on Bible Gateway as you can listen in real audio. I have a lot of links to different audio Bibles as well; I believe that it is good to read and listen to the Word as well. So many of us are busy today, we live fast paced- hurried lives and unfortunately, daily Bible reading is something that tends to be neglected. I hope you will be encouraged to read the Bible with me.

Post a CommentI agree with you totally. I pledge to begin the One-Year Reading Plan. I have completed it before and plan to begin again 1/1/11!
What a great idea!
Congratulations to Tiffany! She is the first winner of the Radiant God Bible Reading Contest! Way to Go!
What a fabulous idea! I'm bookmarking your blog now. I'll wait until Jan to start, though, to coincide with our Young Adult Ministries who will be beginning then as well.
This is a unique idea. I hope it gets some people reading the Bible who have never done that for themselves before.
Charisse - how very cool! What a great way to get people deeper into their Bibles. I am in the middle of a specific Bible study and quiet time plan, but will consider this.
