Harry Potter has been a hugely successful series since it first began in the late 1990s. This series has encouraged children to read more than any other series in the world. The author of this fabulous series, J.K. Rowling, has always done amazing things for her fans. She has donated money to countless charities. She has fought to have fraudulent Harry Potter items removed from eBay and she has even made numerous appearances in front of millions of fans. With the release of the final Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, you can bet that J.K. Rowling will continue to wow her fans. This summer, J.K. Rowling has planned an amazing event for a few special fans.

J.K. Rowling will do a special reading of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at the Natural History Museum of London on July 21st. As many fans already know, July 21st in the release date for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This special reading will take place at midnight for 500 lucky fans. But, that's not all. J.K. Rowling will also be signing books for 1700 lucky fans.

This is really nothing new. J.K. Rowling has made appearances and read from her books before, but this appearance will truly be something, as fans say goodbye to a character they have come to know and love. While fans around the world will want to be part of this fabulous event, only fans in Ireland, Britain, and America will have a chance to enjoy this goodbye party. Sadly enough, only 7 American fans will actually be part of the massive 1700 to win this fabulous prize. But, Americans will enjoy a round-trip to London as well as hotel accommodations.

How do fans go about entering for this wonderful prize? Fans can actually enter this contest quite easily. They simply need to visit the websites of the publishers of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Scholastic, Inc and Bloomsbury. Once the 1700 winners have been selected they will attend a book signing where they will receive a free copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. 500 winners will be randomly selected to attend the midnight reading.
