Wind

This is the other poem (besides "Key") that was written as a game with my sister, where we chose a word and wrote a poem about it.

Wind

Swirling, whirling dervish
Dance through tree leaves
In a watery rush of sound.
Tumble on ocean crests,
Delighting in the foam.

Sigh down silent streets
Where no feet pass.
Feel the smoggy city weigh you down
In smoke and dissipated dreams.

Fly!

Fly mountain high and clear.
Then plummet down through tunneling caves
To whisper where time stands still.

Then come to me

And fill my lungs with song.
