Wind Chime Lullaby

A Melodious Wind Generated Poem

Deb Martin-Webster
How fragile the dance to and fro
gentles the sound soothing and pure
each breeze a whimsical melody
wind chime lullaby brings joy

Silent for a moment then
another joyful chorus sings
in harmony join the morning doves
wind chime lullaby brings glee

Branches brush the supple strings
on mountain hollow endless fences
strumming songs on windblown grasses
wind chime lullaby brings comfort

Petals from the dogwood trees
swirling pass a sun soaked window
flaunt their springtime finery
wind chime lullaby brings smiles

One last breeze its final song
before dusks blanket covers all
silenced by the moon and stars
wind chime lullaby brings slumber

Thanks Donna! I was sitting on my porch taking a break from writing when I closed my eyes. Next thing I knew I had fallen asleep! I awoke to see white petals blowing all over the pastures . . .in a panic I thought it was snowing!! The nap was delightful :)
