One month has already passed since Windows 7 got to the store shelves, and many people have already installed it in their computer replacing the old XP and the "black sheep" which listens to the name of "Vista." However, Microsoft is already working on the successor of Windows 7, which will be released sometime in 2012. Well, based on Microsoft it looks like the world is not going to end for them that soon!
Wow! Windows 8, huh? Windows 7 looks pretty much Microsoft's best operating system, imagine how far better Windows 8 will be upon its release! What else can anyone ask for?
Based on Microsoft's most recent road-map, it seems that it follows the same tactic releasing a new operating system once every 4 years, having a major update every 2 years. So, the codenamed Windows 8 should be ready to release until 2012-2013, which will complete a 3-4 year long period since the release of Windows 7. Since, Windows 8 is still on its first stage of development, we are not yet aware of how the new operating system will look and perform. Truly, there will be a more advanced DirectX engine, making the graphics even more real into our eyes. For most of you who are curius to see what will happen in 2012, will the world end? Well, I don't think so, it looks like a new era in our lifetime will begin, technologicaly an advanced Windows operating system will be released which will result to a big upgrade for companies such as NVIDIA that will support that kind of operating system.
Just a reminder, Windows 7 will release its first Service Pack in its final shape in the upcoming summer, while its beta will be released in a few months. Well I'm pretty happy how Windows 7 looks at this stage, it will get better! Hopefully Windows 8 will not let us down. We all expect to see Microsoft's new miracle!
