Windows Snapshot Maker Tutorial

In this tutorial I will show you how to use the Windows Snapshot Maker program. Windows Snapshot Maker is a program that captures your screen. I know that you can capture your screen by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Print Screen on your keyboard. I do a lot of screen capturing. But this program makes it so easy and does so much more. When you capture screens by using your keyboard, you have to open another program to edit the capture in and then save it. This program eliminates all of those steps and everything is done right inside this program.

There are many different things that you can do to the screen capture like converting it to grayscale and sepia, you can rotate the screen, you can add drop shadows, and more. I find this program to be very useful. If you capture screens a lot, you may want to give this program a try. Ok, now on to how to use this program.

When you open the program, you will see your screen inside the main window at the top. To capture a screen, open the screen that you want to capture. Then click the New Snapshot button on the right hand side. Give it a second to capture your screen. Then your screen will appear in the top window.

Now that you have captured your screen, you are ready to start editing your capture. You can start off by selecting the coloring of the capture. The coloring can be changed in the first section. You can convert it to grayscale, sepia, invert or leave it as it is. Next, you can apply a drop shadow to it. You will see the different shadow options in the middle section. The last section is your miscellaneous tools like the rotation and watermark.

After you have your capture the way that you want it, you can export it. You have three options; you can copy it to a clipboard, save it to your computer, or send it through email. Click the button of your choice. You can also print it by clicking File > Print at the top of the window.

Clicking off of the program will not minimize the program. You will have to click the line at the top of the window to minimize it. It will minimize to your taskbar. To open the program, simply click it one time. You can also change the capture mode by dropping the capture mode box down. When that box drops down, select the capture that you want by clicking it.

I really like this program. It eliminates me having to open my editing program and doing everything in there. It can all be done in this one program. Windows Snapshot Maker can be found at http://filehippo.com/download_winsnap/ and it is free to use.
