Windshield and Wiper Blades Cleaning

We often used windshield wiper to clean our vehicle windshield, of water or dirt, while we are driving under the rain, or when our vehicle windshield is not clear enough to see what's in front of our vehicle, but sometimes even after we used windshield washer and wipers, our vehicle windshield still not clear enough to see what's in front of us, wiper blades also chatter during operation due to presence of wax or other materials on the windshield or on the wiper blades.

This means that we need to clean our windshield and wiper blades.

Use a water solution or mild detergent when cleaning the outside surface of the windshield, if during rinsing with waters no beads is form this means the windshield is clean.

When cleaning the wiper blades soaked a piece of cloth in a water solution or mild detergent then wipe the wiper blades, rinse the blades with water.

If for instance, upon cleaning the windshield and wiper blades, and you used the wipers but still the windshield is not clear enough, this means that you need to replace the wiper blades.

How to replace the windshield wipers

(Check your vehicle wiper blades if it is the same with the above illustration)

  1. Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield.
  2. Push and hold the release tab (A) and slide the wiper blade arm in the direction as illustrated (1) then remove the wiper blade.
  3. Slide a new wiper blade opposite the direction when removing the wiper blades, a clicking sound confirms that the wiper blade is in place.

Worn-out wiper blades can damage vehicle windshield and may impair your vision during driving, so be sure to replace it the soonest, upon detection that it needs to be replaced.
