Windshield Wonder

Just Add Water!

I have been seeing the ads on the television for the Windshield Wonder, and figured it was one of those products that were garbage like most of what you see advertised. I am one of these people that have to try out something before I will believe it will work as advertised.

I found the Windshield Wonder at Walgreens for $9.95. I figured for that price I had little to lose. According to the Windshield Wonder advertising, you don't use any glass cleaner. Supposedly you just use tap water.

One of the hardest things on your car to clean is the windshield. I have tried everything from practically standing on my head to try to reach to the bottom of the windshield, to taking the extension handle from the vacuum cleaner with a rag taped to it.

I was still a bit skeptical, but I wanted to give the Windshield Wonder a fair trial. What you get is the cleaning pad, (which is a microfiber cloth) a curved plastic wand and they even give you a spray bottle to put the water in.

I got the Windshield Wonder home, and got myself a water bottle, and gave it a try. The curved handle and the pivoting head made it much easier to clean the windshield without standing on my head, and actually reached all the way down. I was amazed that without using any glass cleaner that all of the smudges, and streaks from my previous attempts to clean the windshield were cleaned away!

The Windshield Wonder is great for cleaning just about any car windshield. It works great on the rear window as well. I have a car with a deep rear window that is almost as difficult to clean as the front windshield. IT also has some kind of a film on it, that I think comes form the defogger. I went nuts and cleaned all of the inside windows in the car. I don't think they have been this clean since the car rolled off the assembly line!

You can also use the Windshield Wonder on any glass surface, such as a mirror, or interior windows. I showed my wife the windows of the car, and she wanted to give it a try. She cleaned the storm windows in the screen door, the window of the microwave, and the one in the stove. She was also convinced that I got a good deal with the Windshield Wonder.

This is one of the few products I have seen advertised that actually works the way it claims. I would recommend this to anyone.

I used it right out of the packaging and it cleaned well, but streaked quite a bit. I read in a review that you should wash the pads before you use them, so I'll try that and hope for the best.
