Wine Bottle Wedding Centerpiece

Ann Siper
This wine bottle wedding centerpiece is a fun and affordable wine themed wedding centerpiece you can make on almost any budget. If you and your groom love wine, then this simple idea for a wine bottle wedding centerpiece will be right up your alley.

When making this wine bottle wedding centerpiece try to use wine bottles that have labels with the current year on them. This is just a fun and small detail on the wine themed wedding coteries that I am sure your wedding guests will notice.

Another idea for this wine bottle wedding centerpiece is to use local wines produced in the state or even city you are getting married in. Even if you are getting married in a state that is not known for wine production, I am sure you can find a local winery. You will be more than surprised if you take a moment to look!

To Make this Wine Themed Wedding Centerpiece You Will Need:

1 - 3 wine bottles per table
4 stemmed wine glasses per table
Water
Food color (optional)
Floating tea candles
Round Mirror
Flowers

The first step in starting this wine themed wedding centerpiece is to choose yoru flowers. A flower, like a sunflower, is a great choice because it has one strong main stem. You really can use any flower you want, but think about how it will look and fit into the mouth of the wine bottle.

Now, lay your round or beveled mirror in the center of your wedding reception table. You can leave the mirror out of this wedding centerpiece, but it really does add some shine!

Now, place one to three wine bottles on the mirror. If you use one bottle, then center it. If you use three wine bottles in the wedding centerpiece, then make a triangle with them.

Fill each wine bottle with water then add your flower. You can also tie twine or ribbon on the outside of the bottle to add more of your wedding colors into the centerpiece.

Now, place four wine glasses on the mirror as well. You want to make a square with them surrounding any of the wine bottles in the centerpiece.

Fill each wine glass with 2/3s of water. You can add food coloring to color the water in the wine glasses. You can color it with a little red and blue food coloring to make the eater look like wine.

Now, float a simple white candle in each wine glass. Be sure to use unscented candles in the wine themed centerpiece since your wedding guests will be eating here. A scented candle will interfere with the flowers found in your wedding dinner.
