Augusta: Has some very nice places to go. The Augusta winery makes its wines in small quantities, so it gets special attention. They won the Missouri Governor's Cup in 2004, 2006 and 2007. They are located at High and Jackson Streets.
Although not in the Augusta, there is the Little Hills Winery located in old St. Charles. It is located at 501 S. Main Street. The wine is bottled in man-made caverns. Old St. Charles is an excellent place to hit art & craft stores, specialty stores, Christmas shops and antique stores.
Hermann: Hermannhof Winery is a step back in time to the old German wineries. Located near the Missouri river, you can eat lunch besides a crackling fireplace and taste their wine. It is located on Highway 100 on the eastern edge of Hermann.
Stone Hill Winery is located at 1110 Stone Hill Highway. The historic building, which offers tours, has a 150-year old history behind it. It combines old world history with new world technology.
Oak Glenn Winery is located at 1104 Oak Glenn Place in Hermann. It is perched high on the bluffs overlooking the Missouri river. It dates back to the mid 1800s.
Ozark Highlands; Ferrigno Winery in St. James offers a rustic wine garden that overlooks the vineyards. There you can enjoy both dry and sweet wine. You can also sample Missouri cheese and sausage. It is located at 17301 State on Route B.
St. James Winery is located at 540 Sidney Street. You can easily see the winery from I-44. This area is known as "The Little Italy of the Ozarks."
Ozark Mountain: White Rose Winery is located at 13001 Journey Road. It is an ideal location for wedding rehearsals, weddings, rehearsals and family reunions. The building is made of Carthage Marble.
Southeast Region: When we speak of this area, the city of St. Genevieve comes to mind. There are 19 wineries located in this region. The Chaumette Winery in St. Genevieve is located at 24345 State Route WW. They also have a grill restaurant and can handle up to 300 individuals.
The Villa Antonio Winery located in nearby Hillsboro at 3660 Linhorst Road. This winery specializes in dry French American hybrid grapes.
This is only a small number of wineries in the State of Missouri. If it is wine that interests you, Missouri is a place to check out.

Post a CommentThis is not a place I would have thought of for vino-tourism!
Good list. By the way, people coming down here to Florida may be surprised at how many wineries we have.
Good resource.
Sounds relaxing. :-)
I'm writing about southern Illinois wineries for another site right now so this was interesting to read.
Love visiting wineries!
