Wings are all the rage right now, but sometimes can be a bit greasy with the deep fried goodness. What's a great alternative? Baked wings! Wing Nutz, a local chain wing restaurant, bakes their wings using a variety of sauces at a variety of spice levels. You can also order dipping sauces and buffalo chips (not those kind), which are baked, seasoned chips. Their wings come in boneless and regular bone-in varieties and are really very good and affordable. They also offer salads, if you're not feeling like wings. The baked wings are very tasty and the sauces come in a great variety, covering the entire spice spectrum from mild to burn your face off. There's enough variety to satiate everyone in your family.
The one downside that I have experienced with two separate Wing Nutz locations, the Draper and West Valley locations, is that the staff is not always in a hurry. On two separate occasions I have had to wait quite awhile to order, once being on the verge of leaving, and then have had to wait a very, very long time for my food. One of these times was a work lunch break, and the time taken was a bit problematic. Now, I will not say that this is applicable to all locations, to be fair, but having experienced it twice out of the few times I've been there, I hesitate to choose the restaurant when I have the opportunity. This is not due to the food, the food is excellent, but the service was not the best at either time. They appeared to be short staffed and the seat yourself environment is only good if you have staff that notice when you're there and can take care of you right away.
Overall, Wing Nutz is a great idea and good food, but sometimes not the best execution. I'd say give them a try, but try not to be in a hurry. If they're busy, you might not be happy.
