Wing Stop: Best Place for Chicken Wings in Arkansas

Paula Myers
Wing Stop is a new restaurant in Conway, Arkansas. Wing Stop is a chain of nostalgic, aviation-themed restaurants where the main focus is chicken wings. The chain was founded in 1994 in Dallas, Texas. Wing Stop has now grown to a chain with more than 550 restaurants. Wing Stop's national spokesman is Troy Aikman, three-time Super Bowl Champion and NFL Hall of Fame inductee.

My husband decided to surprise me with takeout from Wing Stop. It was really hard to choose from all the items on their menu. You have nine different wing flavors to choose from; Atomic, Cajun, Original hot, Mild, Hickory Smoked BBQ, Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan, Hawaiian, and Teriyaki. The wing order sizes range from ten pieces to hundred pieces. They have boneless wing strips as a main entrée too.

They also have many homemade sides available. Bourbon baked beans, pearl potato salad, crispy vegetable sticks, creamy coleslaw, and specialty dips are just some of the things they offer.

We ending up getting the boneless wing strips as our main course and had our choice of numerous dipping sauces. Garlic Parmesan, Lemon Pepper, and Hickory Smoked BBQ were the ones we picked. The boneless wing strips smelled and tasted delicious. They were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The Garlic Parmesan and Hickory Smoked BBQ sauces were my favorite. The Lemon Pepper was OK. Next time, I will try a different sauce instead.

Our side choices were: Bourbon Baked Beans, Fresh Cut Seasoned Fries, Coleslaw, and Dinner Rolls. The Bourbon baked beans, I didn't like at all. The taste of Bourbon was way too strong for me. My husband and oldest son liked the baked beans. They gave us plenty of seasoned fries with our dinner. They were delicious and the dinner rolls were too. My husband thought the coleslaw was really good. I didn't eat it because it wasn't on a BBQ sandwich.

We will definitely eat at Wing Stop again. The chicken and sauces were delicious. Next time, we will try something new on the menu just to be different. I'll ask them if they have the baked beans without the Bourbon.

If you're looking to eat something different, try Wing Stop if you have one in your area. There are over 550 restaurants nationwide. Their menu has something for everyone in the family.

Wing Stops location in Conway, Arkansas is 2730 Prince Street, Suite #1, located in The Holiday Park Shopping Center near Play World. Their phone number is (501)329-1919.
