Winstar Resort and Casino Opens Two New Casinos In Thackerville Oklahoma

Just across the Texas border two new worlds are waiting, Paris and Beijing. These two casinos are the latest development for the Winstar Resort and Casino megaplex. Located off exit 1 in Thackerville, OK, Winstar offers a 24 hour gaming experience.

Before the addition of the new casinos, Winstar hosted three separate gaming worlds, The Center Ring, The Palace, and The Mariachi. The casinos are equipped with over 2,100 electronic gaming machines, poker tables, Bingo and gourmet restaurants.

The Paris and Beijing additions were unofficially opened Monday September 8th, 2008. While there is some construction on the far wing of the Beijing casino, the main areas of both casinos are up and running with electronic gaming, poker tables and lush décor to keep the eye entertained.

I was on site to preview their initial opening on Monday and can honestly say I am hooked on these new casinos. The lay-out is improved over the traditional casinos, with the cashiers lined in one-easy to find location and the poker tables centered in the middle of Beijing for easy access. The Winstar world, now stretching three acres, allows for the tables and electronic-machines to be spacious enough for easy use and enjoyment.

Not a poker player? Tired of the old stand-bys in electronic gaming? Both Paris and Beijing have this covered with a new line of electronic games, including an Ebay based game. These new machines play one cent, five cent and beyond denominations using coin-less betting.

The décor of both Paris and Beijing are reminiscent of popular Las Vegas casinos. The marble statue water fountains cascade beautiful blue water underneath ornate gold ceiling tiles depicting Parisian scenery. Bigger-then-life, diamond-studded, fire-breathing dragons hang over the poker tables in Beijing and several small statues dot the landscape.

While the casino wont be launching an official Grand Opening until the completion of the new concert hall, they are up and running with several daily contests like the No Tricks All Treats Giveaways through the month of October. Winstar will be giving away $200,000 in cash and prizes and drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
