Winter 2010 Fashion Advice for Buxom, Busty or Top-Heavy Women
Tips for Dressing when You're on the Busty Side
Wear a Bra That Fits
The number one thing that every women needs to do is fine a well-fitting bra. Some women are seriously wearing the wrong bra size; if your cup size is wrong, your band size is wrong. If your bra cuts into your breasts, if you have spillage on the sides or top, or if the front of your bra does not have contact with your chest, you are wearing the wrong size.
Get Fitted By a Professional: Not in a Department Store
Department store bra representatives are often clueless and will sell you the first bra that you are willing to walk away with. Go to a corset store and get professionally fitted for a bra. It will change your life and your back will feel brand new. A custom bra is the best option for a very large breasted woman, but if you can't' afford a custom bra, a simple fitting with a professional lingerie maker will give you great insight into the nature of your true size.
Layer it Up
If you're very busty, the thick fabrics of winter wear can put a damper on your shape. The key to staying warm and shapely in the winter is to layer your fabrics. Wearing multiple layers of thin, comfortable fabric can help you keep your shape, and can be used to add accent to an outfit. A good layered warm outfit might include a thin tank top under a light blouse with a thin sweater to keep the chill away. If you have a cute coat, you can also include that on top of the layered fabric, as long as you kept the fabrics thin enough. For inclement weather, though, it's best to choose warmth and safety over shape. Do the best you can by choosing coats which have a stylish shape of their own.
Appropriate Cleavage
First, decide if it's appropriate to enhance and boost the girls, or to divert attention away from them. If you are in a work or office environment where drawing extra attention to your breasts would be inappropriate, choose clothes that fully cover both your front and side cleavage. A little bit of cleavage when you bend over is natural, but in most business situations, you should keep the ladies safely tucked away. Do not overdo it and go with a turtleneck.
If your business or social situation would benefit from a little peek from the ladies, by all means, lug them out. Keep tabs on your spillage by choosing a well-fitting bra. You can secure any slipping areas of your outfit to your bra fairly securely with double-sided tape. Double sided tape gives you a lot of freedom in choosing exactly where to show and what to hide. You may need to check periodically for tape slippage. If you are showing any of your bra, make sure that it is a pretty bra which is clean and matches your outfit, and watch out for smears from deodorant.
