Winter Activities in Denver, CO: Outdoor Ice Skating in the Metro Area

Looking for an activity that the whole family can enjoy? Or maybe something fun for a first date? Outdoor ice skating rinks are now open along the Front Range!

Belmar: This rink is located at the Belmar development in Lakewood, at Wadsworth and Alameda. All ages are welcome and no reservations are required. A one-hour session is $3 for children and $6 for adults. Skate rentals are $2 per hour.

Every Tuesday night is Date Night with two-for-one skating and two-for-one entrees at select Belmar restaurants:

WinterSkate: Promising old-fashioned fun in a historic setting, WinterSkate is back for its third season in Louisville. You'll enjoy traditional holiday music, free parking and free horse-drawn rides too.

Rates for Adults are $5, children ages 4-12 are $4, children 3 and under are free. Once admission is paid, you can skate as long as you'd like. Skate rentals are $3.00. Group rates, seasonal skate passes and gift certificates are also available.

The Ice Rink at OneBoulderPlaza: This rink is located in the heart of downtown Boulder and just one block off the historic Pearl Street Mall. Enjoy outdoor ice skating and winter cheer with family and friends. The Ice Rink is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and shopping.

Admission is $5 for Adults, $4 for children ages 4-12 and free for children 3 and under. Skate rental is $3. Group discounts, punch cards and gift certificates are also available.

This rink also offers figure skating lessons and birthday parties.

EvergreenLake House: This is a gorgeous place to skate, on a natural lake setting in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Ice skating opens in January, but be sure to call their hotline to make sure it is open at 303.512.9300.

This rink is quite popular and parking is very limited. Look for a shuttle service during peak hours and utilize the Dedisse parking lot on the north side of the lake. The shuttle runs daily from the Evergreen Recreation Center from 11am-5pm when the Evergreen Lake parking lot is full.

Fees are $4.50 for adults, $4 for children 12 and under and $4.25 for teens ages 13-18. Punch cards and season passes are also available. Skate rental is $3 per hour.
