The movie isn't bad; just a little boring in parts and the plot seems to move very slowly. Matt is the responsible friend who wants to find a great career to pay off his student loans. Plus he wants to fall in love. He seems to meet the girl of his dreams with Michelle Casper, played by Maggie Lawson. Michelle is a local school teacher who is just living in Aspen temporarily. Matt and Michelle instantly hit it off but it is quickly revealed that Michelle has a boyfriend in New York. Michelle's best friend is Kristen, played by Rachel Wilson. The girls and all four guys become fast friends and spend most of their free time together. Matt and Michelle obviously like each other but after a disappointing Christmas with an unexpected visit by Michelle's boyfriend, Matt gets drunk and makes a fool of himself in front of Michelle. Of course they make up and all is well until Matt has to make the tough decision of finding a real job outside of Aspen.
The whole "will they or won't they end up together tension" between Michelle and Matt was drawn out way too long. The movie seemed more like some TV series then an actual movie. I was also annoyed between the budding romance between Peter and Kristen. It took almost a year for Kristen to finally realize Peter likes her or decide that she likes him. Either way, I just wanted to scream at the TV hook up all ready and get this show on the road.
The movie did have some funny parts. Peter was my favorite character. He was so cute at his constant dorky attempts to hook up with a girl. I liked him more then Milo's character Matt. Matt was very annoying with his voice-overs and his inability to just say what was on his mind.
Anyway, the movie wasn't bad, just not that great. I give the movie 2 out of 5 stars.
