Decorating high school bulletin boards for winter can be fun and exciting for students and teachers. This article will provide you with detailed instructions on creating winter bulletin board ideas for high school.

Snow Globes

Snow globes are fun to look at, and they are a great theme for high school bulletin boards. For this idea you will need butcher paper to cover the bulletin board, magazines, scissors, sequins, construction paper, markers, small bowls, and glue.

Start this bulletin board project by providing high school students with a sheet of construction paper, markers, a bowl, and scissors. Help them trace the bowl and cut out the circle. Also instruct kids to cut a rectangle slightly smaller then the diameter of the circle. This will be the base of the snow globe.

Then help high school students look through magazines to find an image they would like to put inside their snow globe. Instruct students to glue the image in place in the center of the circle. Then glue the rectangle to the bottom of the circle. Finally add sequins like snow. Make sure high school kids write their names on the base of the snow globe.

While the children are working on this project, cover the bulletin board with butcher paper. Help kids add their finished product to the board.

Snowflake Free Form Poem

Another fun winter bulletin board for high school is a snowflake poem. For this idea you will need a hat, glitter, glue, construction paper, pencils, and poems about winter. Start by providing high school students with copies of several poems about winter.

Have the class read the poems together aloud. Ask each student to think of one word that reminds them of winter. Write all of the words on the board. Also write each word on a piece of paper, fold it up, and put it in the hat.

Discuss how the words could be arranged into a poem about winter. Have each high school kid draw a word from the hat. Instruct students to write the word they have chosen on a piece of construction paper with the pencil. Then trace the pencil line with glue. Sprinkle glitter on top and shake off excess.

When the glue has dried, you can arrange the words in the order of the poem you and your high school students have created.

These winter bulletin board ideas are a great way to teach students while decorating the classroom. Try these ideas with your high school kids this winter!
