For this project, you will need (per accent table):
- One small unfinished wooden accent table
- Several snowflake shaped wooden cutouts in various sizes (available at craft supply stores)
- Several sheets of medium and/or fine grit sandpaper
- Tack cloth or other similar style soft cloth
- Krylon Indoor Outdoor Primer in All-Purpose White
- Krylon Indoor Outdoor Paint in Gloss White
- Krylon Indoor Outdoor Paint in Satin Catalina Mist
- Krylon Glitter Spray in Shimmering Silver
- Epoxy glue
- Newspaper and/or a large sized drop cloth
Before you start this winter project, cover the area where you will be working with several sheets of newspaper and/or a drop cloth. Sand down the accent table using medium or fine grit sandpaper sheets, Wipe down the table with a variety of soft cloth or tack cloth to remove grit.
Prime the accent table with a nice thick coat of Krylon Indoor Outdoor Primer in All-Purpose White. Once dried, paint the table using Krylon Indoor Outdoor Paint in Satin Catalina Mist. Continue adding blue paint coats to the table until you have reached a desired hue. Let the table dry overnight.
Sand each of the wooden snowflake cutouts using sandpaper. Wipe away the dust from the snowflakes using a soft cloth. Prime both sides of the cutouts using Krylon Indoor Outdoor Primer in All-Purpose White. Once they have dried, paint the snowflake cutouts using Krylon Indoor Outdoor Paint in Gloss White. Dry completely.
Spray one side of each cutout with a light coat of Krylon Glitter Spray in Shimmering Silver. Add additional coats of glitter spray, if desired. Allow the snowflakes to set for an hour or longer. Apply epoxy glue to the non glitter side of each snowflake cutout. Adhere the cutouts to the accent table, where desired. Press firmly to ensure the glue adheres the cutouts to the table securely. Once dried, enjoy your new winter themed accent table.
TIP: For holiday decorating, consider creating one of these adorable snowflake embellished tables to place a small Christmas tree on top of. In the off season, you can cover the table with a fabric table cloth to hide the snowflake designs.
