The tree is aglow with twinkling lights
Lighting my spirit on this cold, wintery night.
The presents are wrapped and gathered below
In colors of green and bright-red and gold!
And oh the excitement! It's filling the air
With sounds of small footsteps running down stairs!
The children are up and their faces are glowing
And outside the window, softly, it's snowing.
And all around us it smells of Christmas time:
Of cinnamon, and cookies, and fresh winter pine.
Oh 'tis the season to love and share
And celebrate the season while your family's there!
And when Christmas morning finally arrives
We'll remember that morning for all of our lives.
The presents and snowflakes and smiles galore!
How could anyone want for anything more?
