Winter Fashion Guide: 5 Boots You Should be Rocking

Winter, a time for snow, the holidays, and best of all... a time for boots! This fall, the biggest runway trend is over-the-knee boots, not to say that last year's trendy ankle boots won't be making a fall fashion return. With so many styles to "shoes" from, it's difficult to just list five of my favorite designs. However, I offer variety to accommodate any bank account, so whether it be a designer brand or a mid-tier store replica, I've listed the top styles of boots your feet should indubitably rock this winter.

Giuseppe Zanotti, never disappoints when delivering new footwear designs. His cutting edge, artistic take on shoe design sets him apart and leaves us coveting for every heavy priced piece of Italian footwear. My latest obsession, is his contrast-stitch ankle boot, perfectly paired with leather and contrast stitching. Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen are style icons for a reason. Their successful fashion line Elizabeth & James has recently branched out into footwear and thank heavens it has. Their designs are as trendy and fashion forward as the twins themselves. A must have this winter, Elizabeth & James "Vegas Two Tie Boots with Soft Shaft". These leather beauties feature a slouchy pebbled leather shaft with not one, but two, stylish gathered detail. It's available in two shades of gray and offers a modest 4 ½ inch heel.

Danish designer Camilla Skovgaard, designs shoes that reflect the same qualities as the female who dons them; chicness, femininity, and daring intelligence. Her cutout booties with lug sole are for the fashionably brave. Designed in a croc-embossed coral leather they also feature a buckled strap behind the heel. Their 3/4" rubber platform makes them safe enough for snowy sidewalks although I wouldn't say the same for its 4 ½ inch stiletto heel.

Year after year, the sheepskin boot, makes a fashion comeback. Uggs are now a thing of the past thanks to designer Tory Burch who offers a new front runner this winter. Her flat shearling boots offer a cozy fit with a polished style. Her signature logo is featured on a leather disc at the top and also bears a shearling trim throughout.
