Beneath the snow,
My garden sleeps
The tulips wait
While snow grows deep
Lilies white, lilies pink,
Campanula blue
Rest beneath the garden soil
For spring to claim her due
The waiting's hard
For winter's cold
But spring will come
To claim her gold!

Post a CommentAt first, I didn't understand. I like this because this is something I couldn't write. It is so gentle. This is beyond me. I read it six times, then looked at it again as I did the first time. Very nice.
Beautiful poem!
What a lovely and optimistic poem.
And I see you are in Bismarck. It is cold out there!
I love this Lori, it is beautiful and love the idea of spring sleeping beneath the snowy cold.
My. Isn't this easy to read with the new format and the ads pushing half the poem away?
Wonderful. I really love this.

You've got a real winter! We've just been having rain and some wind... when spring comes we probably wouldn't even notice it! :o)
