Winter is creeping upon us, and the coldness is seeping into our bones. Preschoolers get to experience Mother Nature at her best.
Snowflakes are beautiful and cold, and they in the palm of our hands. Blue construction paper and safety scissors are all preschoolers need to make their own snowflakes.
Candy canes are just one of the icons of the winter season. They mean Christmas is just around the corner. Candy cane art is a beautiful way to symbolize winter, and teachers can help preschoolers to crush the candy canes. The crushed candy can be used to decorate construction paper. The candy cane creates beautiful creations with the red and white colors. Candy canes are now available in different colors, such as rainbow.
Snowmen art is very creative. A snowman made out of actual snow is cool, and students can create a snowman family. The snowman family can be decorated in any fashion. For example, the family can be wearing summer clothes as if they were at the beach.
A sled represents winter at its best. Children love to play in the snow, and a sled brings out the children in us all. These can be made four wooden Popsicle sticks. The edge of the sticks need to be glued together. Red ribbon glued on the sticks creates the banner on the sled, and red string can be attached to the ribbon. This creates the handle for the sled for a rider to hold onto. The banner needs to be added to the top and bottom, but the string only needs to be added once.
A trip outside in the snow is perfect for creating snow angels. This is a work of art. Children need to dress warmly to prevent them from getting cold and becoming sick. They need to lie in the snow and move their arms and legs back and forth. Teachers can take photographs of the angels to cherish the moment forever. Children love to be outdoors, and this is a fun activity.
Activities are designed to help teachers educate our kids. Lesson plans such as these are ideal for preschoolers. They can let their creativity and imagination run wild. Teachers need to help the students in completing each and every lesson plan. The amount of assistance will be determined by the child's skills and abilities. Let the children be children and have fun with the lessons.
