Winter is for Lovers (poem)

Martin Kloess
Winter is for lovers and for those who don't know why
I'm about share with you some thoughts you can apply.

A blanket and two lovers: the possibilities...
Add some warm libation: guaranteed you will not freeze.

Do not be as liberal when giving 'way a kiss.
Make your lover work for it; vast reasoning in this.

Always an excuse to hug, heck, that's what lovers do.
Add the air of winter and they multiply by two.

Hard to find description or the reason this holds true
Eyes are more compelling with a warming winter's brew.

Think about a fireplace: but do not be remiss.
Imagination's fire is the key to love's abyss.

What would you imagine now to squelch a winter's breeze?
Try the warmth of passion caused by lovers when they tease.

There's a season made for lovers just like you and I.
Now it's winter. Next comes spring. Don't let this time slip by.
