Winter Solstice
It means mostly the cold is coming through.
Not at any other time is the sun at its extreme.
To the outer elliptical orbit, less sun to beam,
Each year at the same time farther from home,
Reaching rays have a longer distance to roam.
Shortest time of sunlight from elliptical path,
On December 21 working the elevation math,
Leaving to its maximum point from equator,
Securing the seasons, planned by out creator,
Take notice of the different times by season.
Indicating the path, it follows for a reason.
Creating the wonders, we need for eternity.
Every year that passes, we belong to this fraternity.
