The Grand Canyon is an absolutely beautiful place to visit, even during the winter. But the tough part can be figuring out what precisely that you plan on doing during your stay. The best way to visit the Grand Canyon is to plan ahead. Have an idea of what you are looking for in a hotel room, how many people that you will be accommodating, and what kind of activities that you like to do. Keep in mind everyone in your group and what they want to do.

American Dream Tours is one company that you may want to consider hiring for your first visit to the Grand Canyon . They've been around for a decade and a half and offer pickup and drop off, refreshments, and also have telescopes so that you can see more than you would on a regular tour. The cost for an adult is $98 for an adult ticket and $87 for a child.

JJK's is part of the Canyon Resort Plaza Grand Canyon and features a whole buffet of food. It is open year round with a full service buffet from six thirty am to nine thirty pm. This is perfect for those with kids who are picky eaters. If you aren't entirely sure what they're willing to try, you can't go wrong with a buffet.
Then there is El Tovar Dining Room, located at the El Tovar Hotel. This is perfect for those who are a bit experimental in their taste buds-one of their dishes in prickly pear chicken with onion confit. This particular restaurant is open year round and has lunch, breakfast, and dinner.

Finding a good, cheap hotel room can be a bit of a task when it comes to the Grand Canyon. You don't want to be halfway across the state, but at the same time, you don't want to have to sell your left kidney either.

However, you do have a few options, including the Red Garter B&B Inn. This is an extremely charming little saloon turned into a bed and breakfast. It's very professional, very well-kept, but is also very casual and a place where you can truly enjoy yourself. You can even ride a train from the area that the hotel is located in to the Grand Canyon , which is only an hour away! Not to mention that off-season and online discounts can add up to 35 dollars off of your total bill.

To find a good hotel room, you need to follow a few tips:

First of all, look at the location. Make sure that they can accommodate all of you that are going on the trip.

Second, call ahead of time-even a few months ahead of time. See if you can get any discounts. Call any hotel-even if it's rather expensive. Compare it with regular prices of cheaper hotels and look at what each hotel has to offer and then make your decision.
