For this project, you will need (per place card holder):
- 1/2 inch thick plywood
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Jigsaw or other tool to cut plywood
- 1/4 inch in diameter wooden dowel
- Wooden scrabble game board tiles
- Medium or fine grit sandpaper
- Tack cloth or other similar style soft cloth
- Krylon Indoor Outdoor Primer in All-Purpose White
- Krylon Indoor Outdoor Paint in Dover White

- Krylon Indoor Outdoor Paint in Stonewashed Denim
- Krylon Indoor Outdoor Paint in Bahama Sea
- Krylon Spray Adhesive
- White cardstock
- Printer
- Craft knife
- Self healing mat
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Newspaper and/or a large drop cloth
For easier cleanup when you are finished with this wedding craft, cover your work area with sheets of newspaper and/or a large drop cloth prior to starting. Use a ruler to mark out a four inch square onto the sheet of plywood. Cut out the square using a jigsaw or other tool used to cut plywood. Sand the edge and surface of the plywood square with medium or fine grit sandpaper. Wipe away the dust with a tack cloth or other soft cloth. In the same process as described before, sand twelve Scrabble game board tiles and one 1/4 inch in diameter wooden dowel. Cut the dowel down to two inches long.
Lay out all the wooden pieces. Prime each wooden piece using Krylon Indoor Outdoor Primer in All-Purpose White. Let the primed wood dry for an hour or so before proceeding.
Paint the four inch square of plywood and wooden dowel using several coats of Krylon Indoor Outdoor Paint in Dover White. Paint four of the Scrabble tiles using several coats of Krylon Indoor Outdoor Paint in Global Blue. Paint four of the Scrabble tiles using several coats of Krylon Indoor Outdoor Paint in Stonewashed Denim. Paint four of the Scrabble tiles using several coats of Krylon Indoor Outdoor Paint in Bahama Sea. Allow all wood pieces to dry overnight before proceeding.
Print the guest's name onto white cardstock. Place the cardstock onto the self healing mat. With a pencil and a ruler, create a four inch square around the name. Cut out the square with a craft knife. Spray the back of the cardstock square with Krylon Spray Adhesive. Adhere the square in the center of the white plywood piece.
Heat up the hot glue gun. Adhere a border around the edge of the plywood square by adhering alternating colors of Scrabble tiles around the outside edge. Secure the dowel to the back to allow the plywood piece to stand up. Once the glue has cooled, arrange on the reception table as desired.
