1. WinTricks:
This is a collection of 606 tricks that every computer users want to try in Windows. The program includes how to change or delete registry, how to delete your information without a trace and many more interesting and practical tricks.
You can download this program free here. It is only about 2.78 MB of your system resource. After installing and activating WinTricks, you will find there are four different topics (Operating System Windows, Tricks on Using Desktop and Laptop, Tricks on Using Internet Browser and Protecting Your Computer from outside Threats, Tricks with Website). Those are very practical that everybody can perform. For example, under the title "Repositioning the Wallpaper", you will find the way to put your wallpaper anywhere on your desktop. It is not necessary to put your wallpaper as "Center", "Tile" or "Stretch".
2. AcronymGenie:
If you read magazine like PC World or Game Informer, you can easily run into some "jargon" words that you do not understand. Even though you have a good knowledge about computer, it is impossible to know all the abbreviations.
AcronymGenie is a dictionary program that has all the jargon about computer. This program is very easy to use. You just simply type the word you want to look up in the blank "Type the first few letters of the acronym/abbreviation you are looking for" and push Enter. You will find it under "Expansion" blank. AcronymGenie has up to 17,000 words. It provides you all of the abbreviations about internet, format, computers, network... Especially, this program has a lot of "Smileys" language. You can use those symbols in Yahoo! Messenger or any other messenger program. Besides, you can use "Search" to filter out vocabulary into different categories. You can also use "Anagram" to find the word that you did not remember exactly.
You can download AcronymGenie here. It is only about 635 KB of your system resource. The program is compatible with all versions of Windows.
You can search in Google or any other search engine for the information that is in "WinTricks" or in "AcronymGenie". However, by using the two programs, you will save a lot of time because the information is already in there. You do not have to search and filter any unnecessary information. Plus, they are free anyway.
