Wisconsin City Smoking Ban
This cafe I speak of is a Social club, . What a wonderful place to go everyone there is a member you pay the member fee one time and you are good to go. Its only $1 wow what a great deal on that, Recently our city has placed a no smoking ban and it has affected this cafe, Hard working good family owns it, but business has dropped way down since the city police have been popping in twice a day to find smoking members so they can write out tickets, I mean come on GOOD LORD! It is a private social club. I do not understand how this would affect anyone who is not a member, really , You know its a club, your not a member, you don't pay the fee, you don't come in unless you want to become a member. police coming in everyday has affected the business really bad.
I used to go there alot, sit and enjoy the company of so many nice people. I mean you would drive by and see so many cars there for lunch and dinner, now since that ban you drive by and you have to look twice to see if it is even open because there are no cars, How rotten is that. What about the people that work there that have families to take care of? Their hours I'm sure have been cut, What about the waitresses they depend on those tips for a living now that is just bad, that this city can try and run a business that they have nothing to do with unless they are members, It is not a walk in diner! it is a private club. The owners are the nicest people you could ever meet, They treat the members like one big family, our state and our city is run by a bunch of Communist . People need to stand up for what is theirs , what they have worked for and what they believe. Wow this is so upsetting to me and so many other people. The cafe has donated to many things in this city to help others, they have had benefits for the fire departments bears for children like when someones house has a fire etc.. the have donated and did benefits for food pantry's here, donated money and who did it all the members and the owner, what have the big shots of our city done??? Nothing but push this ban on this cafe. Wausau used to be a great place to be but now I'm beginning to think twice. It is almost like they want to run people our of their own city. See when people sit around and drink they want to smoke, when they drink coffee they want to smoke, after they eat they want to smoke and so on. This members only cafe welcomed all for that onetime fee of $1 so people loved this social club because they could sit with friends, eat, talk, smoke.
Now you hardly see anyone. Its wrong WE NEED TO FIGHT FOR WHAT IS OURS! We all have rights, someone told me smoking is not a right it is a privilege, Yes but it is our write to have that privilege and do what we want to our body's after all we do own them not the city, we are tax payers who have rights, we are human. So many times I see people being treated like thy are in a camp of prisoners, I had to vent about this because it is driving me crazy thinking about this nice business owner and the people that go there. Next they will be telling people they cant drink coffee anymore because the caffeine makes one hyper. They would do something stupid like that.
