Wisconsin Shooting Leaves Six Dead,Toddler Wounded

A shooting in the southern Wisconsin town of Delavan has left six dead and a toddle in critical condition according to SignonSanDiego.com. Delavan police found the bodies after receiving a report of shots being fired on Saturday night around 10:30. A 2-year old girl, Jasmine, was found in vehicle with a bullet wound in the chest and listed in critical condition at University of Wisconsin hospital. No details have been released on the shooting but authorities interviewed friends and relatives of the victims.

NBC5.com reports that among the dead are 22-year-old Ambrocio Analco, his twin baby boys, and 19-year-old Vanessa Iverson who was visiting at the time. Analco had dropped Jasmine and the twin boys off at their mother's house. Iverson's sister-in-law, Sarah , said Vanessa's friend, the friend's husband and sister-in-law were in the house when the shooting occurred. Analco's cousin, Marco Pastrana, said the twins' mother lived at the house but he did not know the twins' names. The other victims' names have not been released.

A small dog was in the yard that neighbors said belonged to the people in the house. Spectators gathered on sidewalks watching police carry bodies out of the home. "It's tragic. It is getting worse all the time If we want to, we could put a stop to this," said a man who lives across the street from the crime scene according to SignonSan Diego.com. Vanessa's mother, Kay Maraca, wants answers, she said in tears.

The house is a rental property and people move in and out all the time. Another neighbor, Peter Brancheau, mentioned children often play with fireworks in the area so he thought nothing of it when six shots were fired. A minute later, three more shots were fired. Tina McKinnon described the children as pleasant and the house quiet. She never heard any noise coming from the house. McKinnon had seen the family but did not know them.

Delavan is a small community of 8,000 located forty miles south of Milwaukee. In 1871,"The Greatest Show on Earth" was founded by P.T .Barnum. The down town area consists of two blocks with brick-covered streets. The police are investigating the crime as a murder-suicide. It is not known if a suspect has been identified in the shootings.
