Title: There And Back Again
Style: Indie Rock

Rating: 9.10 out of 10
This band has been through quite a few line-up configurations over the years but this is their debut release under what they call their final line-up.
Wiser Time started in the town of Millington, NJ with singer/songwriter/guitarist, Carmen Sclafani in the spring of 2002. Since that time the band's lineup has been tweaked to its current trio core of band members.
Steve Decker-Drums
Todd Lanka - Bass
Carmen Sclafani - Vocals, Guitar
Besides the three core band members you'll also find guest appearances by fourteen other musicians.
The band pulls their musical style from a mixture of both classic and modern rock sounds that is best described as The Rolling Stones meets The Black Crowes.
Band founder and front man Carmen Sclafani has vocals that are built for rock n' roll with their gritty rock edged tones.
Those vocals match up perfectly with the honest song lyrics that revolve around issues related to life and love.
The songs found on this release feature short blast of strong guitar work. While there were those short bursts of smoking guitar parts the one thing I really missed was an all out melt the paint off of a car type guitar solo.
The drums plays traffic cop directing each note where it needs to be whether their deep marching strokes or full speed ahead stick breakers.
Several of the songs also feature additional instruments parts provided by the many guest artists. They include instruments like: harmonica, B3 organ, sitar, and the mandolin to name just a few.
The fifty minutes of rock music found on this release is good enough to be added to a small town time capsule to remind people in the future just what real rock music should sound like.
