There are many meanings that candles can have. Candle magick is easy way to introduce a little magick into your life. A basic color can help a spell to connect with what it needs to in order to work for you.
Candle magick is one of the easiest forms of magic to practice. Experienced Witches and young ones alike can participate in what is one of the most fun and inexpensive forms of magical practice. All you need is a candle, space and time. Of course, you can get creative and incorporate herbs, oils, ribbons, and symbols as well.
A candle is prepared with oils, runes, words, or symbols and is burned on a particularly auspicious day while meditating on your intents. Branching off of this basic idea, there are many complicated candle spells and rituals you can perform involving lots of candles in all colors however, for now, this is just the basic colors and their meaning.
Let's begin with an introduction to some basic colors and there correspondences. Candles provide a center of focus and are used to raise energy; another reason why they are so often incorporated into spells. Once you have selected what you wish to bring into your life, you must select the appropriate colors to work with. Some of the basic colors and meanings are:

Red- Love, passion, love, sex, romance, primal needs, blood offering, courage and strength. This color is the element of fire.fire energy

Pink- Self love, friendship, compassion, self acceptance, empathy, friendship, joy, gratitudeand life-long relationships.

Orange- Strength, success, attraction, sex, immunities, self-acceptance, vitality and energy.

Yellow- Clairvoyance, happiness, communication, intelligence, personal power,confidence, study and travel. This color is the element of air.

Green- Healing, prosperity, wealth, growth, finance, material gains, nature, fertility, green god/goddess, gratitude and employment. This color is the element of earth.

Dark blue -Legal matters.

Light blue- Peace, balance, serenity, artistic creativity, intuition, healing and happiness. This color is the element of water.

Brown- Animal protection, earth energy, roots and ties, grounding, centering and deep healing.

Gold- The sun god, masculinity, prosperity, strength, abundance, money, wealth and higher spirituality.

Silver- Spirits, the moon goddess, lunar energy, feminine, healing, celebration, intuition, contacting the otherside and spiritual communication/clarity.

Purple- Spirituality, wisdom, intuition, meditation, faith, psychic awareness, dreams, visions, prosperity, protection and leadership.

Gray- Crossing into the other world, the unknown and confusion.

White- Clarity, protection, purification. purity, innocence, spirit energy (is also a substitute for any other color)

Black- Absorbs negative energy, transition and banishing negative energies (banishment, night, seeking things that are lost, dreams or visions) NOTE: Many people feel that black is a color of death and negativity, but in the case of color and candle magic, black is a positive color to banish negative energies, clearing the space for positive energies.
