I have written an abstract of the section of my non fiction book Witch about the Malleus Maleficarum - due to the space and time etc., I have jumped sections and placed in a few of the more interesting laws and quotes (rochelle moore)
HAMMER OF THE WITCHES
I call this the real beginning of the holocaust of witches (gypsies, druids, or anyone who disagreed with the principles of the Church).
"Malleus Maleficarum (hammer of the witches) is possibly, one of the most bloodstained document in the history of our world. This book, originally written in Latin in 1487, by two Dominican Inquisitors (supposedly learned and highly respected "experts" in the field of witchcraft). The Malleus, co written by Henry Kramer and James Sperenger, was the "rulebook" for the detention and persecution of witches.
The Malleus Maleficarum was submitted to the University of Cologne on May 9th, 1487. The book commences with:
"Whether the belief that there are such thing as Witches is so essential
a part of the Catholic faith that Obstinacy to maintain Opposite Opinion
manifestly savours Heresy".
The transgressions of these constitional laws (crimes ) were a guidebook for Church hierarchy and anyone who fell into any category: witches, herbalists, aromatherapists, druids, ovates, bards, gypsies or a girl who was too pretty or too ugly....., were legitimized by these author of the Malleus, the two Dominican Inquisitors. The Mallus shaped the onset of the "witch craze" that lasted for hundreds of years.

it would seem your info is incomplete as to you saying "This is complete crap", may it be suggested that you re check your data with respect to plague for instance ( it ended in uk / europe over 100 years before the book was commissioned let alone completed. check out the encylopeaia britannica pre 1990 editions .) and The witch-trials were in fact in two parts one in the roman era of uk the other starting in the late 15th century. again nearly 100 years after the book was commissioned and completed.
