Within the Magic: Disneyland's Adventureland

Adventureland, the wilderness and jungles of Africa and Asia combined with 4 attractions and some of the best themeing in the whole park. This is one of Disneyland's smallest lands with very few attractions for its size. However it can hold its own against any of the other lands. Adventureland is to the direct left of the Partner's statue in the main hub. Disneyland's greatest ride in my opinion lies deep within the jungle of Adventureland.

This land only holds 4 attractions, technically there are 2 rides, a show, and a walk through tree. The attractions are Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones Adventure, Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, and Tarzan's Treehouse. Don't underestimate how popular and busy this land can be throughout the day. The only ride that supports Fastpass service is the Indiana Jones Adventure. This is an amazing land to visit and spend some time in, but you have to know how to avoid the lines and crowds.

When entering the park you can go wherever you want. But I highly suggest getting a Fastpass for the Indiana Jones Adventure. There are many reasons this attraction is always busy and can have a wait time over two hours. One is that only Disneyland has this ride. No other Disney park has a ride like this. Yes there is a Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland Paris. But it cannot compare to the size, depth and fun of this attraction. Another is that this is one of Disneyland's best rides on property, if not the best. So if you or your party want to ride this without waiting in really long lines, get a Fastpass right off the bat. If you choose to wait you might not be able to get a Fastpass later in the day.

From then on the rest of the attractions and shows are usually medium to low in line wait times. The Enchanted Tiki Room is a wonderful show for the entire family. I will say there are some loud noises to simulate thunderstorms, and volcano eruptions. But it should not frighten most children, except for small ones. The Jungle Cruise is one of the first 22 attractions that opened with the park in 1955.

This ride is about 7 minutes and goes through the rivers of Africa. This ride is appropriate for all ages, the ride is smooth and the jokes are corny. But this is a classic ride that should not be missed. Tarzan's treehouse is just a walkthrough of a giant tree. There really isn't anything seeing, however the view over the park is really neat.

Indiana Jones Adventure: Ages 12-50. This ride is bumpy, dark, and a little scary for everyone. It also discourages people with back problems, weak stomachs, pregnant women, and so on to avoid this attraction. The Indiana Jones Adventure does support Fastpass feature and the single rider line. The loading speed is medium to high, usually on the high end. And the que is one of the coolest and most innovative I have ever seen.

Jungle Crusie: All ages. Nothing scary or fast. A lovely cruise in the jungle letting you get off your feet for a bit. The loading speed is medium to low depending on how many boats are in operation. However the crowds are usually also low in numbers, so don't worry about long waits, usually.
Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room: Ages 8 and up. As said before the loud noises can scare some of the younger kids in the party. The loading speed is medium since the theatre has only so many seats available. The wait times are never long when I have gone so enjoy a great and entertaining show.
