The Pet Pavilion can be accessed by players who are a level 7 or above and have beat Rattlebones. Inside you will find a pet shop, snack shop, hatchery and the pet mini-games. The snack shop sells recipes that allow you to craft snacks to feed your pets when they complete the mini-games. Different snacks offer different amounts of improvements in pet skills.
There are four pet mini-games and the pet derby, where you can race your pets against other players' pets. The hatchery is also located in the Pet Pavilion. You will be able to combine the stats of adult pets, but they will retain the look of one. The speculation among players that you could change the look of a pet to be a combo of two different ones is not so. However, at the cost of 80,000 gold, I am not sure how much pet hatching will be going on. Besides, with the look and characteristics happening at random, I don't know that I would want to put my favorite pet up for combining.
There is a pet shop in the Pet Pavilion, as well as a pet shop still in the shopping district; though when you buy pets now they will come in egg form and you will have to wait for them to hatch and then you will have to train and grow them. The ability to sell and buy pets at the Bazaar is gone in the test realm.
There is also a new orb on your screen with your energy. This green orb is for the energy your pets need to play mini-games. At the cost of 8 energy per game and a refill rate of 1 energy for every 15 minutes, it seems like this is going to be a crowns costly undertaking. Waiting for full energy will take a long time, but you can refill energy with crowns.
One feature that many players have asked for concerning their pets is here, the ability to let your pet loose at your home. Now pets will be able to roam your castles and lands. You can have 50 inside and 50 outside.
Some random updates that are also happening in the test, which may or may not be good things; enchanted treasure cards will no longer be tradeable. So no more making your friends cards with tough or keen eyes. Crafting has come to Grizzleheim, you can now get recipes there. New pets are available from creatures throughout the Worlds and they will drop in the form of an egg who will hatch over time. A new button in housing allows you to pick up all items in your house at once. Mildred Farseer has new spells for you and she is located on Colossus Boulevard. You will also be able to purchase permanent Blue Dragon Mounts and there are wings in black now!
Remember, all actions in the test realm do not affect your wizard in the regular game. Gold, crowns, pets and purchases do not carry over to your wizard in the real game.
