WNEP, WTVE, WNBC, WFMZ and other East Coast weather information: There are many good sources for East Coast weather information. One of the first places to check is http://www.weather.com. This is a basic weather checking site where you can specifically type in your zip code and find out what is happening hour-by-hour in your town. You can also download weather.com to your desktop for a constant connection to the temperature and the weather conditions.

Another great all purpose weather checking site is http://www.accuweather.com. It works about the same as the one mentioned above. It also gives you the latest and most up to date weather information for your area. It also gives an hour-by-hour weather status.

Both of the sites above are great at listing national weather happenings; storm alerts and other weather alerts that are happening. They are even more precise when you type in your zip code. You can, with both sites mentioned above, view live images and video feeds of what is going on in your area.

A great local news station to check the weather is http://www.wnep.com. At the top of the site they offer a School Closings Alerts ticker. They'll list all the school closings in the area. They also offer a feature that allows you to send school closings to your mobile phone in the form of a text message.

On the right side of the page they have a Storm tracker which includes the current weather conditions, the current temperature, weather alerts and current road conditions. They make sure to keep you safe with the latest and most updated weather information. They also have real-time Doppler radar.

On the left side of their page they have a 7-day forecast, Doppler radar and future radar. They have everything and anything you would need to stay current on the weather, road conditions, future conditions, and school closings.

Another website that offers weather information is http://www.wtve.com. This news station is based out of Philadelphia and offers weather information right on the front page. It has a live streaming weather map showing the current weather conditions. It also lists the current conditions and temperatures in several Mid-Atlantic States: PA, DE and NJ.

Another source for Mid-Atlantic local weather information can be found at http://www.wnbc.com/index.html. This site is more New York specific. On the right-hand side of the page there's a link to weather. Clicking on this link will bring up the weather page. This page gives you today's forecast, current temperature in New York City, a 5-day forecast for New York and any weather alerts there might be. It also brings up a satellite image of the current weather conditions. You can find specific weather information by zip code as well. This site also allows you to download a weather application to your desktop to keep constantly informed of the latest weather. They also offer other weather news.

To get great weather coverage in another Mid-Atlantic news coverage area, try http://www.wfmz.com/. They offer an instant look at the weather as soon as you hit the page. It gives you special weather information and any advisory notices you might need to be aware of. It also provides you with a daily forecast and an hour-by-hour forecast. It also provides handy sky cams and travel cams.
