Wolfenstein is most certainly no walk in the park. Beyond the straight-forward mission of killing Nazis, there are numerous missions to complete, a huge number of side missions to keep you busy and a treasure chest full of weapon upgrades and secret items. Wolfenstein can keep even the most avid gamer busy for quite some time with its twelve worlds full to the brim of Nazis and secrets. While the first-person shooter mechanics remain, the overall feel of Wolfenstein is quite a bit more open-ended than its linear counterparts. The games central landscape is the town of Isenstadt in Austria. It is from this base of operations that you will be facilitating the Nazi resistance spearheaded by the Kreisau Circle as well as upgrading your weaponry on the black market. That's not all either, within the huge map of Isenstadt are numerous secrets to be uncovered, intelligence, gold and Tomes of Power. All of these items provide you with critical help in different ways. It stands to reason that becoming familiar with the Isenstadt terrain can dramatically improve your chances at success.
When navigating through Isenstadt, be wary around each corner of Nazi soldiers. The hostile Nazis are everywhere and can pop up when you least expect it. By being prepared at every turn for a fire fight, you greatly enhance your survival prospects. All throughout Isenstadt you will find gold. By thoroughly tracking down ever corner and crevice of the town, you can guarantee that you have the funds sufficient enough to purchase weapon and gear upgrades. You should not spend your money on anything else, including ammunition. Instead, direct all of your funds toward improving your gear and weapons so that you have all the firepower you need to complete missions.
Ultimately, the goal of the game is to survive and by culling the resources offered by Isenstadt, you can put yourself in a great position to succeed. Don't take the home base for granted, explore, explore, explore and you will be rewarded.
