Woman

Laura Casias
She could give you the pain you so long to take from her,
but you would cave with the first blow.
No other structure built by man or God could hold the weight and bear the grief
like she has.
In tears she would sobbingly confess all her secrets
and aspirations,
lost dreams and hopes
and a crowd of deaf ears would wonder why she weeps.
She is driven by love
and hate
and all emotion in between and she alone can find sweetness in the most bitter circumstances.
A mother,
a daughter,
a child,
a muse.
No other being so pure and fragile,
no other so steadfast,
none such as
Woman.
