Woman Arrested for Indecent Exposure at a School in Bradenton Beach, Florida

Growing up, I was always surrounded by older women - especially my mother - who told me to "make sure I had everything covered" when I dressed up, and to make sure nothing was too tight or revealing. That may have seemed like ages ago back in the Victorian atmosphere I was raised in, so this latest article out of Bradenton Beach in Florida surprised me a little bit. I never could get used to seeing women wearing tops that showed too much decolletage but then I am not a man.

Laura Campanello sounds like the type of woman who grew up the same generation as I did, and since we are both the same age - 42 - her complaints about another woman at Bayshore High School dressing too provocatively are probably well justified. Except for one thing: Laura felt she had to prove a certain point to the woman, and to school administrators when she pulled her own breasts out of her top. This sounds like a scene from the "Porky's" movies, which take place in a Florida school. Located north of Sarasota, Bradenton Beach is almost as honky-tonk as a real life "Porky's" so it was only natural that this news item elicited a few laughs. A local deputy saw the incident which probably is not unfortunate for him (it might be for his wife though) and of course he did not thin the woman Laura accused of exposing too much was dressed improperly at all. The deputy did think Laura went too far in pulling our her breasts in front of the woman and himself, though. A high school was no place for such an incident to happen, even though chances are very slim that if any teenage boy walked into the room where this happened, he would not have seen anything new. It is not as if Laura was breast feeding a baby at the time, which would have been considered perfectly natural.

It is unclear why Laura was at the high school as a visitor that day, as was the woman she accused of committing a fashion faux pas. Laura may have been there to see her child, and felt uptight about her own body when she saw the other woman wearing a low cut top. Women are known to be severely critical of each other when it comes to clothing, makeup, hair, and body type. I've been there all my life and am still in recovery. It's hard to ignore past events when the fashion police come to see you at school, though.
